Internal Clearance Guide
Internal clearance is a configuration requirement that should remain part of the full bearing reference. C3 identifies a clearance group greater than Normal for the relevant bearing type and size; it is not a universal clearance value in millimetres.
What to include in a request
- Complete designation and requested clearance suffix.
- Original equipment or assembly specification.
- Operating speed and temperature information.
- Known shaft and housing fit requirements.
Confirm rather than infer
Do not select a clearance group simply because another bearing in the same machine uses it. Ask for review of the actual component and its installation requirement.
Replacement purchasing
Retain the clearance marking from the original part and identify any change requested by the equipment manufacturer. If the marking is absent or unreadable, send the machine documentation for review before ordering.
Discuss your bearing requirement
Send the complete designation, quantity, equipment details and operating conditions. We will review the reference and confirm the sourcing option before quotation.
